Project Background

The StockIt app allows store teammates to create and manage stockroom locations where products are assigned for inventory and replenishment purposes. Through this research project, we seek to understand current pain points with the stockroom creation/organization flow and solve pre-exising bugs in the system.

For this project I had the opportunity to visit many Dick's Sporting Goods stockrooms, and if you've ever step foot inside of a stockroom you would know that stockrooms are chaotic. Cramped spaces with endless shelves stuffed full of product and miscellaneous boxes, hangers, and clothing racks strewn about. It can be a lot to wrap your head around.
