Mission Statement
According to the USDA, more than 34 million people in the United States struggle with food insecurity. We believe that the cost of food should never prevent someone from being able to enjoy a delicious meal. CheapEats is a mobile app that allows you to you search for restaurants near you that fit within your budget. Find a restaurant you like? Save it for later, head over to their website to check it out, or get directions to eat right away!
Redesign (2024)
In my senior year of university, I took a course called Investigating Normal: Design and Disability. This course taught us to challenge the conventions of physical and digital environments and dissect how through design we can create an increasingly accessible world.
For my final project, I conducted a redesign of my first ever mobile app design, CheapEats. The goal of this redesign was to improve it's compliance with WCAG accessibility standards and overall visual communication.
